Every day, I have insurance people, financial planners, accountants, and IT people contact me. They call my office, pretend they are my best friend and when I get a holler from a staff member that I have a phone call, I have no idea who the person on the line is.
Sometimes, these financial people have my cell phone. They call and don’t leave messages. They call and call and call and finally, I pick up. The other day, a financial guy called on my cell. I picked up and when I told him I wasn’t interested, he hung up on me.
Could you believe that? I was trying to be honest and he hung up the phone on me!
I understand that not all solicitors are the same. To some extent, I’m a solicitor too. I know that they have a quota to reach but come on.
Is this the way to treat a potential buyer? Is this the way to start a relationship by hanging up the phone?
Don’t solicitors know that a “NO” could be changed to a “yes?” It may happen on the phone call or it may happen years later but don’t you think there needs to be some understanding and respect?
Sometimes, I just don’t get it…
