Don’t you just hate waiting at the doctor’s office to see the physician? Or, what about when you’re called in and you find yourself sitting on the bench in a robe for 20 minutes or more?
Well, that happened to me the other day. I was sitting in one of the offices, waiting to see the doctor, when I started to hear a conversation between the doctor and another patient. I stopped and listened…
“And this hurts me and that hurts me and I don’t know what I’m going to do about that… ” the patient said. She went on and on and on about all of her ailments.
Ha… I was planning on doing the same thing but after listening to this woman, I knew just then, that there was a reason why I wasn’t a doctor! She didn’t stop complaining. I wondered if the doctor actually heard her or tuned her out.
When he finally came into the office where I was situated, I said, “that’s why I decided not to be a doctor.” He didn’t say anything.
What he did say was, “and what brings you here?”
