There’s nothing like being in a small town during the July 4th holiday. This past weekend, my friends and I were up at Mt. Snow. On the third of July, the town of Wilmington, Vermont held a big fair with fireworks. The whole town was there. Everyone seemed to know each other. They had a band playing folk music, bouncy rides for the kids, cotton candy, ice cream and other fattening items. The town’s real estate agent Paul North, who I found out later died in a plane crash, gave out red balloons. Almost everyone there had a balloon, including me!
It was something special to be in a small town celebrating our great country. I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July.
