Shoes, Shoes and More Shoes…

Whether they are red pumps, gold open toe stilettos, black gladiator sandals, or “punk rock” Keds, I love shoes. I have winter shoes and I have summer shoes. I have slick boots and I have sexy sandals. They just strike my fancy.

So when I walk past a shoe store, I need to stop and stare at the new styles. It stops me from thinking of anything else. All I think is “SHOES!”

I get a card in the mail from my favorites – Jildor – saying SALE and I’m there! I get a card from Robert Clergerie (my grandmother-in-law’s favorite brand) and I’m there. And I get a card from Stuart Weitzman saying they have a 30% 40% and 50% off sale and you know where I’ll be! Even Nordstrom’s is a tease with their Anniversary SALE.

It’s getting to the point that I need a closet just for my shoes!

The recent “Sex in the City” movie starring Sarah Jessica Parker, shoes her character, Carrie Bradshaw getting her dream closet equipped with a compartment for all her shoes. What an amazing fantasy!

Hey girls, could you imagine?

What I like best about shoes is that I can wear a different pair every day to go with a different outfit at work. They are the perfect accessory along with necklaces, earrings and bags.

Kristie Galvani, HJMT’s Senior VP and close personal friend, bought me series 1 of Lipstick Jungle. The series is about three professional women – a top executive at Parador Pictures, the editor in chief at Bonfire Magazine, a major women’s publication and a fashion designer. Starring Brooke Shields and Kim Raver, the show depicts these powerful business-women in incredible outfits and of course matching shoes, making business deals, falling in love and being together. It’s a nice series, worth watching!

I think Kristie thought I would enjoy the shoes that appear on the show….and I do!

So on this Friday evening, with a week’s worth of stress at work, I sit back, relax and I think SHOES…
