You know what makes me angry? Our health system in this country!
As a business owner, I pay a certain amount for my staff to have the luxury to pay their physicians and specialists a certain amount.
I also pay for my own insurance to have the luxury to pay $25 for my general practitioner and $50 for any specialist.
But that’s okay. That part doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is that when you go to see a doctor, you have to wait, and wait and wait. Isn’t our time valuable?
I often think about how one of my clients would feel if I made him or her wait and wait and wait. He/she would pick himself/herself up and leave and that would be it. So why can’t we do the same? Why are we at the mercy of our doctors?
What also bothers me is that when you really get sick or injured and need medical care in a hospital, you don’t get proper care. Well maybe you do, but you will have to wait and wait and wait for everything.
If you are in the hospital and press the call button, expect to wait at least 45 minutes before one of the nurses come around. Why do I say this? Because my husband just had surgery and this was his experience. But I also have had the same experience every time I’ve been in the hospital.
Okay, maybe the nurses, doctors and other specialists are overworked. But does it give them the right to have an attitude when you ask for something?
