The other day, I was driving my car through NYC. I was stopped at a red light. On my right was a large nail salon. It was packed with women getting manicures. One young woman, was drying her nails, looking out the window. A man cut across my car and waved to her. She saw him and smiled. He ran into the nail place.
When I was walking to meet my appointments that same day, I saw a couple kissing.
Awww, that was sweet, I thought.
That night I went to a networking event and was sitting between a man and a woman. They were both single. They started to talk about how hard it was to meet the right people in NYC.
“I meet a lot of people,” the man said to me. “That’s not the problem. The problem is I haven’t met the right person!”
As I was sitting there, I got this really funny feeling. I looked at the man. I looked at the woman and I thought, I can see these two together. When the woman was talking to someone else, I turned to the man and said, “I think you should call her.”
He turned to me and said, “I know….”
That was sweet too, I thought.
When people say, Paris is the city of Love, I think they are wrong. New York City is the city of LOVE!
