Although this is a blog that has mixed company, I want to state for the record I believe bra manufacturers have changed bra sizes.I don’t know this for a fact but I believe it is the case.
The other day, I went to a new bra store in Roosevelt Field Mall, called Intimacy.
“Do you want to get fitted?” I was asked by the salesperson as soon as I entered the store.
“Ummm… What does that entail? I’m pretty sure I know my size,” I told her.
“I bet you’re wrong,” she said. The next thing I knew, she put my name on a list to be fitted. I rolled my eyes and thought, what the heck, I might as well.
So I walked around the mall and finally got a text on my cell saying they were ready for me. I walked in and was greeted by a woman all in black.
“Come with me,” she said. I walked behind her into the fitting room.
“Let me explain something to you,” she said, “we take a holistic approach to fitting bras.”
“O… K…. ” I said feeling very skeptical.
She waved her hands around my body and closed her eyes. I thought I was going to a psychic. Now, will she be telling me something about my future?
She left the room and came back with a dozen or so bras. “Try these on,” she said. I looked at the bras and they were three cup sizes bigger than I thought and a 32 inch instead of my normal 36 inch width.
“I’m going to tell you now,” I said, “these are not going to fit me.”
“Trust me,” she said. And, the next thing I knew I was buying a ton of new bras.
Hmmmm… maybe this holistic thing works?
