I never heard of having fireworks a week after July 4th, but Long Beach, NY, the town in which I live, does things very differently. The last few years, they have held their annual fourth of July fireworks a week after the fact.This year, there were thousands of people on the beach listening to a local band. When the band finished up, the town shot out fireworks. It was a great show. It lasted more than 45 minutes, which I thought was a long time for fireworks. In any event, I took this photo and wanted to share with you. It’s a photo of three little girls enjoying the fireworks that lit up the night sky…. Enjoy….
