To benefit “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” and provide a memorable day of summer fun in the sun, the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second Annual Celebrity Softball Game on Sunday, August 3rd at the CYA Complex on Easton Street, in Ronkonkoma, NY.
Last summer’s first-ever celebrity softball game was a huge success.Ronkonkoma Chamber member and spokesperson Mick Du Russel has confirmed the attendance of dozens of entertainers, writers, actors, djs, show hosts, pro baseball players (and their offspring) and many others. At press time, the list of participating celebrities included:
- Chris Roach (comedian) announcing the game
- John Mingoia (sports announcer, announcing game)
- Joanne J-Bird Phillips (Web TV Host) Official scorekeeper
- Linda Ruth Tosetti (Babe Ruth’s granddaughter) throwing out 1st pitch
- Don DeMola (former Montreal Expos pitcher) Celebrity Team Manager
Proceeds from this event will go to the American Cancer Society / “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” and to the Ronkonkoma Chamber. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, but online purchase is available now at www.ronkonkomachamber.com and highly recommended, as a sellout of all tickets before August 1st is anticipated. Tickets are just $10, and children (12 and under) get in free.
