Ever miss an event and say to yourself, I wish I knew about that because I would have gone?
Recently I discovered a new social media site, called Plancast.com. This is where each person has a unique profile and can list all of their upcoming events. For me, I’ve got many —
- 5th Annual Blogfest in Brooklyn
- New York Enterprise Report Best Accountant and Attorneys for Growing Businesses
- New York Enterprise Report Small Business Event
- St. Luke’s Catholic School‘s 100th Anniversary
- Blogworld in Las Vegas
- And more…
What’s interesting about Plancast is you get to see where your friends are going and never miss an event. The home page displays your friends and exactly where they will be at any given time. For example, there are dozens of people signed up for Internet Week in New York City and Chicks Meet Geek Event in San Francisco.
I love that the site is connected with Facebook and Twitter, so every time you post an event, all of your friends on these sites can see what you are planning to do. This enables them to learn about the event and to join you. It’s simple and easy to use. You can make comments on existing plans and comment on your friends plans. If you are not attending an event that a friend is attending, you can click on the link and find out what you are missing. The link gives you a brief description of the “who, what, why, when and how” of the event.
It’s a cool site and worth a look… If you decide to join, please consider connecting with me. I would love to hear about where you’re going too!
