As I sit here in the Rochester airport reflecting on the two days that passed, I’m looking out the window and I’m seeing the most amazing sunset – reds, blues, purples, oranges and yellow horizontal strips fill the sky.
Rochester is beautiful this time of year. There are so many trees here. As we were driving along today and yesterday, I asked Lisa to pull over. I wanted to take in the beauty of the fall foliage and snap a few shots too. I just wanted to capture the moment because soon enough there won’t be any leaves on the trees and the surroundings will look totally different.
“The fall foliage is God telling us that life is precious,” said a woman in our first meeting.
Her statement made me think. If you live downstate or in NYC, you have no idea what fall foliage is until you come up to Rochester! Wow, it sure is beautiful! And the last two days have been totally packed with meetings, meetings and more meetings!
Yesterday was a day to catch up and strategize with our downstate vice president’s, Lori Alexy and Kristie Galvani. Today, started out with a bang, when I dropped by Verizon cell phone down the garbage disposal in Lisa’s apartment. After that, the phone didn’t work and between appointments we drove from Webster to Penifield to Fairfield and back to Rochester. I think I got a view of the whole area in just a few short hours in the car.
Thankfully, Verizon was very kind and gave me a new Blackberry. Between going to three Verizon stores, we had three incredible meetings with people that we would love to do business with! After our final meeting of the day, Lisa and I took a short walk around the Erie Canal, bought a bag of bird feed and fed the ducks. What a wonderful way to end the day and get a true taste of Rochester.
It was a great couple of days…love the pics!
