The other night I attended a fashion show which featured all of Sarka Siskova’s newest designs. Sarva is from the Czech Republic and her show was held at the Czech Republic Embassy on 73rd Street in New York City.
What a gorgeous venue! And what a magnificent show! I was so impressed. The show was set up with a long runway, with tee candles framing the stage. There was a huge screen when the models came out and it showcased some of Sarka’s other designs, not shown in the Show. There were tons of media/photographers there and the music blasted as these beautiful women came out one by one from behind stage in their latest Siskova design!
Patterns, textures and material were so finely crafted. Each model had a different look than the one before, which made the show even more extraordinary. I absolutely loved her work. She’s different and cutting edge, unlike a lot of the designers of today.
My friend Dan Schaffer invited me to the show and I’m so glad he did. It was a lot of fun and it helped spur some creative ideas to brainstorm with Sarka to help her get exposure and recognition for her fashion designs.
