Since the Inauguration, you can feel the “change” in the air. It’s all around us and everyone is talking about it. What will the new President bring and how will our country change?
I started to think about change. I started to look at my own life during the last year and I have seen a huge change. I changed careers, cities, friend circles, even doctors! So what have all of these changes done for me? Well for one thing they’ve taught me how to adopt to a “go with the flow’ and “roll with the punches” kind of attitude. If I hadn’t been through these experiences, I might not have been so welcoming to change.
This is particularly important when working with events. You need to be able to have the ability to adjust to changes because at any moment an emcee can change his/her mind and not show at an event, a client can change an invite design right before deadline, a caterer can change a menu the night of a gala, or a venue can change their facility and no longer hold your attendance count. But it is what you ultimately decide to do with these changes that will determine success. If you “roll with the punches,” you will succeed.
How do you find change? How do you adjust?
