I love going to out-of-the-ordinary places for dinner, especially when they are Italian, my favorite food. So, when my daughter, Zoey, suggested that Dan, her husband, and I go to Donna Margherita NYC, I was excited.
Donna Margherita
Donna Margherita NYC is located at 1304 A Second Avenue between 68 and 69th Street on Second in Manhattan.
I loved the intimacy of the restaurant. There were sunflowers all over one of the walls. The only issue we had was there was another group next to us who were so incredibly loud. We couldn’t hear ourselves talk.
There were only four or five tables in the restaurant so the loudness was a bit of an issue.
What we ordered
We didn’t order appetizers because we just wanted to get to the main course. We were starving!
We also didn’t order wine but there was a nice selection. We also didn’t order the pizza, which is one of their staple items. They have a dozen types of pizza and they all sound delicious.
We ordered pasta and it was incredible.
I had the eggplant parm and Dan had lasagna with no pork and Zoey had pasta. Each was better than the next, especially with the incredible bread and olive oil they placed on the table first.

Dessert
For dessert, we couldn’t let that pass without getting the blueberry cheesecake. Although it was tiny for the three of us, we got a little taste and it was amazing!
Would I Recommend it?
I certainly would recommend Donna Margherita NYC. Although it was loud, the food made up for it!
