Harbor Mist Restaurant Review in Cold Spring Harbor, NY

Going to Harbor Mist Restaurant in Cold Spring Harbor, NY was just a little random for us. My family and I usually go to restaurants close to where we live. But, I felt like venturing out a little. So, I opened Open Tables and selected this quaint little restaurant in Oyster Bay. The restaurant is situated across the street from Billy Joel Park and adjacent to the greenbelt trail.

Harbor Mist Restaurant

Shrimp at Harbor Mist The restaurant had an array of seafood dishes and some steak dishes. I started the meal with their famous clam chowder. I absolutely loved it. I then ordered the Salmon fillet served with spinach, wheat berries, olives, and tomatoes. I enjoyed it. My family had the linguini with fresh clams and the grilled swordfish. They thought their meals were “okay.” The restaurant is in a historic landmark building. They had lots of seating outside but since it was so hot, we opted to eat indoors. The rooms were lovely and I thought the wait staff was pleasant, although they did charge us for something we didn’t order. They quickly removed it from the check.

My thoughts

Nowadays, most restaurants are pricey and Harbor Mist was one of them. Most of the entrees were around $30 and up. And, when you have appetizers, dessert, and a bottle of wine, it adds up. We spent around $200 for the three of us. I liked the setting. I thought the food was good and if I were in the area, I would consider returning.
