With all the “hate” crimes going on in this country, when I saw Derrick and Julie Tennant, I thought to myself, “why aren’t more people like them. They both are comedians but they also spread so much love.”
Comedy Show
I saw Derrick and Julie Tennant at a comedy show for the Theresa Foundation a couple of weeks ago. I thought they were great. After the show, Julie, who also has downs syndrome, showed off her sweatshirts and tee shirts and told the audience that a percentage would go toward the Theresa Foundation to help children with disabilities.
I quickly headed to the website, Juliescoolshirts.com, and surfed around.
During the performance, Derrick described Julie as “pure love.”
That resonated with me. Why can’t we love each other or at least respect each other?

There were a lot of different varieties on the website. Julie makes up the sayings and has the shirts produced.
Here’s what I bought:
This sweatshirt is so incredibly cozy and comfortable. Plus, the saying is spectacular. Just love. That truly says it all, especially in this time when there is so much negativity toward others.
Okay, this one I had to buy too. When Julie showed it off, I was laughing so hard. It says, “When this whole virus thing is over, I still want some of you to stay away from me.” The saying just put a smile on my face and I had to buy it.
The material is super soft cotton and so comfortable.
