Ever hear of Zolt?
It’s a new news site and is available for download on Apple and Android. What’s interesting and unique about it are several cool features like:
- Customize your news interests – I like to read about current events, but I also like to read about new technologies and start up companies. So I organized my news feeds to show me what I wanted to see.
- Easily share with my friends – There are share buttons that you can use and you can also create your own commentary before sharing or posting on social.
- Snippets of stories — I love that you can just get a snippet of a story and if you want to read the entire story, you can click on the link below.
Zolt aggregates content from various news sources so it’s all legitimate. Each story appears on a page with a large photo and a recap of the article. With a flip of your thumb, you can swipe away one story and go onto the next. If you want to read the entire version of the story, you can click on “read more” and Zolt takes you to the article.

And my favorite feature is being able to produce my own commentary on the story that interests me for example, see below. I shared that on Twitter right from the app!
I was surprised that I liked it so much. It gives me a quick glimpse into what’s going on and it enables me to research and find out more information about something that interests me.
