Walking around NYC is amazing. No matter where you are, if you are in the park or just walking down Fifth Avenue, something is bound to happen.
The other day, I went into the city to meet with a client. I parked uptown and took the #6 subway down to 14th Street. When I got off the subway, a man in full mask and costume who looked like he belonged in the Amazon, was standing by a fence in the park. I looked at him but didn’t want to make eye contact. I wondered why no one else looked at him. He could have been stark naked and no one would blink an eye!
As I continued along my path, I saw Donald Trump (not the real one) sitting on steps. He had a suit on and a mask over his face. He watched me as I walked past him but no one looked at him, as if no one noticed.
I finally got to the restaurant but they weren’t open. I stood there. A man practically stood on top of me while he made a call, as if I was invisible.
Everywhere you turn in NYC, something is happening. Sometimes, we get so wrapped up in our own thoughts that we don’t see what’s going on around us. But if we just open our eyes and experience the time, there will never be a “dull moment,” especially in NYC!
